Jun 22 RBD Block Challenge--FINISHED!!

Today RBD releases the last block in their Block Challenge. They will also release the setting instructions for putting it all together. I was able to finish up mine a few weeks ago and sent it on to my quilter Maika at @aquiltedmarvel. She is amazing, and now, so is my quilt!

I just got home from the gym, and I had to show you this quilt! It turned out so great. What a fun project! Do you like the way the blocks are put together? I sure do. The pattern for PUTTING IT TOGETHER is also released today with the final block, HERE.

Here are some pics of the process to make the sashings.

It’s an easy process because you sew the strip sets together first, and then cut them into the segments needed. I just love how it sets off the blocks! I also added a final border 4” wide. Those of you who purchased a kit —you will have plenty of fabrics to finish your blocks and sashings, but if you want to add a border, and the binding, you will need to order more fabric.

This has been such a fun process, with really no pressure at all. We started in February, and every month 3 block patterns were released. The patterns are all available to download HERE.
