Last week we started our appliqued blocks. I hope you had good success with it. This week I will be adding one more skill to your applique—that of making bias tape. This is the most useful and easy element in my applique blocks. It can fill up a lot of space, and looks amazing. All while being super easy to make. This little video will teach you the tips and tricks to making bias tape.

See, I told you it was easy, right? You will find that bias tape can be used for so many things, and the Bias Tape Makers are so handy. I have used it to make vines and stems, of course, like in these quilts:

Another good use for bias tape is to make lettering. You can write all kinds of things with bias tape:
