2020 Jillily Studio Mountain Quilt RETREATS!!

What is a quilting retreat and why should I attend?
For anyone who is new to the quilting world, a quilting retreat is very much what is sounds like. You go away for several days (some travel far while others stay close to home) and you spend your days working on a new quilt, spending time relaxing with friends or making new friends, and at a Jillily Studio Retreat, eating delicious food and enjoying the lovely mountain areas in Utah! Why attend a retreat? They are unique experiences for many reasons. First, you can learn new skills one-on-one to improve your technique. Second, you can enjoy the experience of creating without some of the ‘hassle’ that typically comes with quilting, for example, your kits at my retreats come to you PRE-CUT!! That’s right, we get straight to sewing and you don’t spend any of your precious retreat time with tedious cutting. Third, I don’t know about you but sometimes I get tired. Creatively, physically, emotionally tired. Taking time for yourself and spending a few days at a retreat like this can help get you a well deserved break while also helping you reset, recharge, and get re-inspired!

Without further ado, here are your quilts for our 2020 Retreat Sessions!
SWISS MISS:
You can make my new Swiss Miss quilt in either the Red or the Black color way. This quilt will use fabrics from my brand new line It’s the Berries! Some of the blocks are pieced, and some are appliqued. Each block is finished with an appliqued scallop that ties the blocks together. Learn all of the great techniques to make this beautiful quilt. Remember, at our retreat, your kit will be completely cut for you when you arrive—and it will include all of the Jillily Studio applique tools!
SWEET TO THE SOUL:
By popular demand we also are offering my Sweet to the Soul pattern from my previous collection, Honey Run! The quilt is cut using a template set for perfect fitting of the pieces. Yellow and black bees are pieced into the quilt, and their heads and wings are appliqued on after. Your pre-cut kit will include the Hex Angle Template Set and all of the Jillily Studio applique tools.
